Me and the folks took a nice day trip today over to Kerrville, Texas. Just such a perfect day to get away for a two hour drive to the hill country. We really enjoyed visiting this nice town. One of my main things to visit was the Kerrville Kroc Center, a new community center sponsored by the Salvation Army and the original owners of McDonald's, Ray and Joan Kroc.
I did not get to stay but for just a quick tour of the place but I stayed long enough to know I would really like to be a part of this place. It bills itself as "Fitness & Fellowship," and I believe it 100%. What a wonderful place to get and stay in shape, meet neat people that think the same as you do in fellowship and even worship.
Winter, spring, summer, and fall, this place is a cool place to be. We walked around and enjoyed its very user friendly and upbeat atmosphere. I live too far off to become a member but it does make me wish I lived closer to one of these centers.
Above photos are from their website as I did not see all of what the center has to offer. Below are my photos.
If you are ever near a Kroc Center, you will certainly enjoy a stop. Just ask for a visitors pass and they will let you take a look around at a wonderful concept.
