Departure won't be until Sunday but I am already packing up, mentally, that is. You know how it goes; when you know you are about to go somewhere, you start thinking of things that need to get taken care of. And as I age, I can tell I need to have more than a mental list of things. I forget things easily and while I have never been much of a multi-tasker, I most certainly am doing well nowadays to get one thing done without a snafu of some kind.
It is gearing up to be a not-so-fun day outdoors as the weather has turned cool but sunny. Most especially, the wind is going to turn ferocious today with gusts predicted to be as high as 50mph and I am glad I will not be towing into it.
All is quiet at the state park this weekend. Folks are milling around and enjoying their time outdoors. The burn ban is off and so they are also appreciating a BBQ outdoors and maybe a campfire.
Texas Parks & Wildlife has produced this profile of my state park and I thought you may enjoy watching it:

WOW I am glad you are telling your tales more often. Your blog is one of the most enjoyable on the web. From the video I need to get back to the state park for more exploring this spring.
